Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector - PTLLS

This course is aimed learners who wish to teach in the lifelong learning sector. You would need to have key skills at level II. An initial assessment will take place to ensure that you are at the minimum required standard. The courses are short lasting four days. You will have a practical assessment and will also be required to complete five assignments which need to be sent in before certificates can be issued. Please note learners from outside of the European Union will be required to show evidence of rights to work in the UK.

Once you have completed the PTLLS you will be able to teach your specialist subject, for instance if you are a specialist trained in Engineering you will be able to teach Engineering at a level just below your qualification. This is for example, you should check with your specialist area what the minimum requirements are.

This Course is at Leve 3 orl 4 and Candidates at Level 4 will be expected to understand Research Techniques to complete the Assessment Portfolio. candidates will also be required to understand Harvard referencing if undertaking qualification level 4.
