There is quite a lot of information about PTLLS Courses that can often get very confusing. The Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector or PTLLS is now replacing the older Train the Trainer Qualifications. How it works is very simple. You bring your specialised knowledge or qualification, we then show you how to teach that subject. The PTLLS Award is threshold award to teach to Adults and Young People in Further Education or Higher Education. PTLLS is part of a series of awards leading to full Teaching Status as part of the Qualified Teacher Lifelong Sector (QTLS). You are able to continue through the Certificate and Diploma Stages which will give an equivalent award to a Certificate in Education (Degree)
Our PTLLS programme is designed to get you teaching straight away, intensive teaching practice where we add theory from Maslow, Skinner, Kolb, Petty, Honey & Mumford and many others. You will learn how to plan an effective session using lesson plans. Designing lesson plans for inclusive learning and embedding basic key skills.
What separates our PTLLS Training Course from the others is the way we use Group Dynamics to develope every learners Teaching Skills from the very instant they enter the class. You will get straight into teaching practice, we then start to add the theory as you teach. We have developed some clever teaching games to encourage good lesson planning skills, this is further strengthened by continuous peer assessment.
Are our main Aim is to get our learners relaxed and comfortable, to build confidence and to equip our learners to be able to cope with teaching diverse groups. Key objectives include giving you tips and hints to make both classroom management and inclusive learning second nature. Other objectives include encouraging you to come to the front in a confident manner, learn how to pace yourself, use resources effectively to reach all learning styles. Once you have completed our PTLLS course you will have gained all of this in a way that you will not have realised how much has been learned.
